I’m Chelsey, and this is my blog.
I tend to make things more complicated than they need to be. One day, I started thinking about some of the ways God has taught me how to simplify my life, and behold, Brown Eyed Basics was born.
My policy is to write only about things that I’ve experienced or tried, and so this blog is actually a huge motivation for me living a simple yet abundant life. Some of my favorite things to write about are Christianity, relationships, organization, exercise, and, of course, food.
I hope you’re encouraged by what you read here. I’m just a 22-year-old who doesn’t have a whole lot of life experience, but I hope to chronicle the things I learn here on my blog.
If you’re looking for a more personal side of me, you can check out my other blog, only help my unbelief, where I write with much less structure and discretion.
If you’re really nosy, I’d be happy to share that I live in South Carolina, I have parents and two sisters, I’ve got a great boyfriend named Christian and I have a degree in print journalism, which I am currently not using at all in my occupation as an administrative assistant at a manufacturing plant.
